Regular Activities
Trekking / Walks:
. Trails: they are set around the lodges. Such trails allow the observation of small animals and flora.
. Farm Tour: walk through the ranch's main area / village to have a close look at the daily life of our local cowboys known as "Pantaneiros".
. Caiman's Feeding: one of the most traditional tours at Refúgio Ecológico Caiman. It's a great way for the guests to get a closer look at the Caimans.
Horse Back Ride: This is one of the best ways to explore the heart of the Pantanal because it enables visitors to enter into flooded areas that are too deep for motorized vehicles and too shallow for boats.
Truck Ride / Photo Safari: This tour takes place on a specially adapted truck and is the best way to observe the farther reaches of the ranch. The truck travels at a slow speed, enabling visitors to thoroughly examine the local flora and fauna. When the safari is over, guests will hike through the woods along a trail and observe, firsthand, the various aspects of the plants and animals that inhabit the region.
Canadian Canoe Tour: Takes place on both Sede and Baiazinha lakes. Paddling around the bays, in the company of Caimaner guides, guests have the opportunity to observe the breathtaking landscapes as well as animals that both live and feed in the area.
Bike Tour: Because the Pantanal is very flat, it makes for excellent bike riding along streets and trails. The silence and chance to exercise outdoors are two of the great advantages of this type of tour. The circuits vary depending on the fitness level of the group, and can reach distances of up to 22 miles.
Nocturnal Excursion or Caiman spotlighting: This tour also takes place on a specially adapted truck and allows guests the opportunity to observe nocturnal animals such as caiman, capybaras, anteaters and small wolves, all with the help of a spotlight.
Slides and Video Shows: in general at night. Presentations on the Pantanal´s ecosystem.
The "Caimaners" are our bilingual guides with college degrees and knowledge on the local fauna & flora. They lead the excursions showing and explaining the different habitats.
Native Guides also accompany guests along on the tours;
born in the area they have great knowledge of the local
wildlife.

Highlights of the lodge include dense forest for the eco-hike and a visit to the lodge's private "Monkey Jungle", unique in Amazon.
Day 1: Pick-up at 13h30 and transfer to the Amazon Ecopark Lodge. Reception with local juice after which guests will be shown to the rooms. Following visit to the Monkey Jungle. Dinner and evening tour by canoe for Alligator Spotting . Overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Breakfast followed by Nature Hike. Lunch. After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents ("caboclos") with opportunity for piranha fishing.Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Breakfast and full day tour to the Meeting of the Waters with lunch. Following optional canoe ride with an opportunity for Piranha Fishing. Arrival at the lodge by 17h30. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Breakfast .Free time to enjoy the natural pools. Check-out and transfer to Manaus.
